Intruder Alarm Systems

Safety and Security have never been so important. In today's
society, there are those who feel that they can take or damage
whatever they like, whether it belongs to them or not.
It is essential to protect your families, your belongings,
your businesses and your schools from unwanted intruders.
South East Security can help.
Since its inception, South East Security has installed security
systems in all types of premises ranging from home burglar alarms
to complex CCTV television systems monitoring the departure and
arrival of aircraft at Luton International Airport and wide area
network access systems which control all police stations in Bedfordshire.
We are the supplier of choice for domestic residences, small
businesses, offices, industrial units, retail units, public sector
agencies, schools and colleges, government departments, local
authorities and property consultants. We are also able to deal
with the end-user, their agents as well as specifiers such as
architects and consultants.
All our systems comply with the latest legislation and offer
full conformation to meet the requirements of all regional Police
Forces.
- Systems purpose designed for the application
- Installed to NSI (NACOSS), PD6662:2004, DD243:2004 & BSEN50131
- Approved by all major insurance companies
- Capable of remote signalling to an Alarm Receiving Centre
for police response
- Comprising of many forms of detection devices for all environments
- Suitable for all premises
As part of our quality management policy, we only install alarm
equipment from manufacturers and suppliers who clearly operate
to the quality standards and offer a comprehensive after-sales
and repair policy, to ensure all our installations have years
of trouble free operation.
Radio/Wireless Alarm Systems
With the introduction of PD6662-EN50131/1 all wireless interconnections
from the alarm control panel to the radio detection equipment
and control devices are now covered under this standard.
In simple terms as long as the alarm system complies with the
DD243: 2004 standard and the installer utilises the recognised
868mhz radio band frequency, all radio systems will be deemed
as a grade 2 system.
Radio/wireless alarm systems although quicker to install in
terms of installation time and less disruption to the premises
and décor, they are more expensive in terms of the technology
and features they now have built-in. Today’s systems allow for
greater use of features by the end-user and their friends and
family.
Selecting a Wireless/Radio Burglar Alarm
In order to select the correct wireless/radio system, this
is what you should look for:
- Correct Radio Frequency – Should conform to 868.6625 MHz
frequency
- Rolling Radio Codes or Differs – At least 1,000,000 Differs.
- Independent Device Codes – Detectors can learn their own
code or differ.
- Radio Jamming or Interference – Allow detection of these
signals.
- Low Battery & Tamper – Alert of low battery or tamper, with
zone identification.
- Signal Strength – Display Signal Strength for recording
in system documentation.
- Ability to report these faults including mains failure to
the Alarm Receiving Centre.
CCTV Systems
CCTV
systems are proving to be the ideal solution to client security
needs. Cost effective and flexible, CCTV can be stand-alone or
form part of a more extensive security operation with full telemetry
control and digital recording with various memory options from
40gB to 500gB with integral CD writing facilities.
Systems will allow manual, automatic and/or simultaneous viewing
of all cameras with recording and playback of all camera events,
high capacity hard disk storage and the facility to transfer recorded
data to a VCR, DVD or to a remote PC for playback. Systems may
be linked to existing computer networks or designed to allow users
to view camera images from another location via a secure website
on the internet.
- Suitable for internal or external applications
- Monochrome or colour cameras
- Incorporate infra red lighting for improved pictures at
night
- Local and/or remote monitoring of camera images
- Connection to intruder alarm detection to generate police
response
- Powerful deterrent to unwanted trespass, theft & violent
crime
For those customers who subscribe to the
Keyholding Service, the CCTV
system can be designed to transmit signals in the event of an
intrusion on site to generate a Guard response at much more competitive
rates than other providers offer.
Fire Alarms
When life is at risk, only the best will do for maximum protection.
South East Security use the highest quality equipment designed,
installed and maintained by our experts.
- From manually operated to analogue and/or addressable systems
- All installed to BS5839 Part 1
- Can be linked to our Alarm Receiving Centre for Brigade
response
- Essential for all inhabited, valuable or high-risk premises.
- Risk Assessments to the requirements of the Regulatory Reform
(Fire Safety) Order
Most importantly as well, The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety)
Order (RR(FS)O) replaced most fire safety legislation with one
new order in October 2006. It means that any person who has some
level of control in premises must take steps to reduce the risk
from fire, consider how to contain a fire should one break out
and then also make sure people can safely escape if there is a
fire.
You could face two years in prison and also a heavy fine of
£5,000 as well as carrying the moral burden of not appearing to
care about your staff, customers and other visitors. This is in
addition to having your business or building possibly closed down
but certainly its effectiveness seriously compromised.
The order applies to all buildings apart from private homes
or individual flats. For more information,
